… I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10 NIV

Are you one of those people that has a tendency of tripping and falling all the time?  I am guilty of being this person. I am known to trip and fall or slip and fall on a regular basis.  I have tried wearing different shoes and being more careful, but I still fall.  When it happens I normally just laugh because I knew it was coming sooner or later.

While we are walking through life, we will stumble many times.  We stumble not just physically, but spiritually.  No matter how hard we try and how careful we are, sooner or later we are going to stumble in one way or another. We may become weak while walking through a trial and that may cause us to stumble a little; or it may be a temptation that comes our way.

1 Peter 5:8 says,

…Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

That means Satan is going to try to trip us up.  Today’s Scripture, Isaiah 41:10, is very comforting to me. It says,

… I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Do you find comfort in that verse?

When we stumble or feel tired and weary and it seems like we just can’t get up and go on, we have the hope of that verse.  God will strengthen us and help us; He will uphold us with his righteous right hand.

Take a moment to reflect on today’s scripture.  Read it to yourself a couple of times and really let it soak in.

Dear God, We love You and thank You for Your loving kindness.  Thank You for always being with us and for never leaving or forsaking us.  I am thankful for Your strength and Your help.  Thank You for upholding us with Your righteous right hand, even when we feel like we can’t go on.  Help us to always remember that You are with us.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
