I am the daughter of a pastor and have literally been in church since before I was born. I learned about Christ at an early age sitting in the front row of church watching my mom sing in the choir and my dad lead us in hymn and praise. When I was 12, my Sunday School teacher led me through the steps of salvation and the sinner’s prayer in her living room. For many years through my youth group, mission trips and church activities I served the Lord and I found myself joyfully walking in step with Him.
When I was a senior in high school a close friend of mine and a member of our youth group was killed instantly in a car accident. It shook my faith to the core and took me on a journey of questioning who the Lord is and what I really believed about my faith. Through years of questioning and searching, rebellion, anger, and chaotic lifestyle choices, I found myself in a place of shame, guilt and disgrace for who I had become as a so-called follower of Christ.
Finding myself completely unfulfilled, I slowly began to rebuild my relationship with God and allowed Him to fill the hurt and pain with grace, mercy, love and deep forgiveness. I thank God for the foundation of Christian parents who taught me about Jesus from a young age and covered me in prayer during the “prodigal years” before I returned back to Him. I’ve learned first-hand about His amazing Grace and just how sweet it is!
Through His sheer mercy and love God brought Annah a wonderful godly husband who owns a small town law firm and practices as an attorney. They have the privilege of raising three beautiful children together. Two boys, ages 9 and 5 and a baby girl age 2.
They are a huge sports family and when they are not playing on the field, they are watching a game. Living just outside the city of Winston-Salem gives them the opportunity to cheer on their Wake Forest Deacons during football and basketball season and enjoy spring and summer games with their minor league baseball team, the Winston-Salem Dash. Annah and her husband enjoy running, cycling, and swimming and their boys love anything that involves dirt, grass, and balls.
With a passion to teach women how to really love their husbands and children, Annah encourages women to see that they have deep influence and hold a high and holy calling as a wife and mom. Mixing personal stories with biblical truth, she desires for women to drop the baggage and walk in confidence as a daughter of the King.
Hello. My Name is Mom
A former social worker, turned teacher, turned stay at home mom, Annah has seen the good, the bad, and the need for every woman to receive the grace of God when it comes to marriage and parenting. With a passion to teach women how to really love their husbands and children, she encourages women to see that they have deep influence and hold a high and holy calling as a wives and moms. In a society where we are defined by what we do, she embraces the idea that we are defined by whose we are and each of us are uniquely gifted for His Purpose.
Down but Not Done
A self-professed prodigal’s child, she knows first-hand about the guilt that comes from the enemy of our past but how sweet freedom and forgiveness is in Christ. Mixing her testimony with personal stories and biblical truth, she desires for women to drop the baggage and walk in confidence as a daughter of the King.
Gifted: How God Designed You for Him
Each of us has a unique gift, a calling, a sweet spot that speaks to us. We know that we have hit that sweet spot when our giftedness explodes and it barely feels like work. How has God uniquely designed you? What talents are lurking below that you just thought were useless hobbies? Every good and perfect gift is from above but it is up to us to step out in faith and ask God how He wants to use it.
